Achievements and Contributions

Recognition: The SNNPR Investment Commission has selected Haile Agriculture as the 4th Best investment from the Agriculture Sector, and 2nd from the coffee sector in 2016.
Community Service: Our operations always integrate Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) objectives in any opportunity. Accordingly, Haile Agriculture constructed a 13 kilometers all weather gravel road from Masha town to our plantation, which is also serving the Yeppo Kebele community. An additional six kilometers gravel road is under construction by the project that will serve both Haile Agriculture and the community, which shall reach the length of publicly used roads constructed by Haile Agriculture to a total of 19 Kilometers.Protection of the Natural Forest:

We are passionate about sustainable development and green growth. We follow diligent procedures to ensure our production is ecofriendly. We are extremely committed to protecting our natural environment and that is why we took a proactive role during the registration of the Sheka Forest Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO, which is a 238,750 hectares natural forest with unique bio-geography extending from cold and very wet highlands to hot lowland areas.
In addition, we have excluded 200 hectares of forestland from our plantation bordering Gahamay and Bosko rivers to preserve the environment.
Product Development and Designation: Until the launch of our initiative, coffee originating from Sheka administrative Zone was marketed under the designation of “Limu Coffee” referred with the more known area of Limu. HAI took the initiative and worked to acquire a new designation that represents the special characteristics of the region. Accordingly, our initiative successfully resulted in a new designation as “Masha Coffee-Specialty Coffee” that is registered by the National Bank of Ethiopia’s list of exported coffee varieties as of May 2017.
